Theresa McDaniel was born and raised in Detroit Michigan.
Before becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor Theresa McDaniel was a Licensed Practical Nurse for 10 years. She has been in the medical field since 2002. She was also a pediatric nurse for 4 years. Theresa knew that her calling to help was greater and she needed to do more.
Theresa received her Baccalaureate in Psychology from Ashford University in 2014. She then went on to get her Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from South University in 2017. Graduating with a 4.0 GPA.
Theresa presented at the South University Annual Counselors Conference for 2 consecutive years in 2016 & 2017. She spoke at the Women Veteran Empowerment Group in May 2018.
In her career Theresa has worked closely with women, women veterans, homeless veterans, active duty soldiers and their children.
Theresa has experience in TREM (Trauma Recovery and Empowerment), Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Grief Therapy and Behavioral Modification.
