Self-care is what you should be doing to take care of yourself mentally, emotionally, and physically. Taking a moment to do something relaxing for you is essential to alleviate the stress and tension that you may deal with daily. Self-care promotes positive outcomes for your mind, body, and soul. Take a moment to relax, sit with yourself, light a candle, listen to soothing music, and put your feet up. Self-care comes in many different forms and techniques depending on the individual. Self-care can be setting healthy boundaries, exercising, saying “NO”, reading a book, taking a walk, making your favorite meal, changing your perspective on life, paying bills, etc. Sometimes self-care comes in the form of facing a challenge, head on to relieve your stress, anxiety and or depression.
